Thinking of a place for the weekend? Batangas and Zambales are good choices but has Quezon ever crossed your mind?

Don’t let another weekend pass you by.

There, the municipality of Mauban is just a bus ride away from the Metro, and is boasting not only of beaches and waterfalls but also a rich history. To convince you, here are 5 things you can do in Mauban, Quezon that’s perfect for your next vacation.

Camp in Cagbalete Island

Approximately 45 minutes away from Mauban Port is the island of Cagbalete. The serenity and simplicity of this island await its visitors. If you want to disconnect from work, why not pitch a tent and just enjoy the view?

Visit the Mangroves of Yang-in White Beach

Yang-in White Beach or commonly known as the “sandbar” can be reached through a 30-minute boat ride. When the tides are low, the beauty of Yang-in will leave you speechless.

Take a dip in natural pools (actually, just visit the Rock Formations)

Visiting Cagbalete Island’s Rock Formations is a must. There are parts wherein the edges form a mini-pool. You just have to wait for a huge wave to crash and enjoy!

Do a historical walking tour

Mauban, Quezon is a historical landmark as unknown to many. It is easy getting around since the tourist spots are stone’s thrown from each other.
